WOW... lots of great information. I did get your PM Sitruc. Here I thought you were going to... "I'm just going to skip stuff here, so some you can pretty well imagine yourself." ... EnDinG. Hehe... good stuff. I'll see what I can do with it, and hopefully make all of you proud.

I'd imagine I'm a touch late for the beginning of the 'scrolls' and the introduction that they'll create. If I'm in there, great! If not, then put me in where I can fit and I'll be happy to see what comes of 'me' when the storyline is completed. ~Some I will copy and paste from previous postings (and revise if needed) just so you can get a feel of who my character is and what he's about.

Name: Rushing Wind (real name is in Bio)

Race: Black/Native American (religion is whatever you feel necessary in your story)

Age: 29

Description: 'Rush' has a massive build. He stands at 6'3" and weighs near 300 pounds. As a natural born fighter he has the muscles and memoirs/scars to show for it.

The ugliest and most massive scar is the one that just barely missed his eye and runs from his eyebrow to just under his nose... first lesson after the Searing; never underestimate the Charr, no matter how petty or lethal they may look. He has a commanding voice and can easily befriend others after he knows of their true 'spirit' and nature. To those that cross him he seeks out and, knowingly, they wish never to have crossed his path. He is very mean and nasty when it comes to fighting, street fighter growing up in Pre-Seared. He will win at any cost... he watches out for himself and those that group with him. If someone is in peril then he will risk his life first to allow his companion safe passage.

Has held many responsibilities and usually cares nothing for them. More willing to not have burdens on the shoulders of one who will carve his path, through anything, to gain his own salvation and see what the future holds for him. He cares nothing for the thoughts of others, aside from allies, and is very self-composed. He is easily approachable but can be rather menacing just from his towering presence alone.

He has easily ascended beyond his 'mirror' and ravished the mountain running to the one known as the Seer to become 'infused'. Recently, Rushing was privileged with the final stroke in Markis' death. Lets just say that the bastard's insides were worn upon his body and he saw every last bit of it before his dying breath. May that heathen never find peace in the Mists beyond.

Profession: Warrior by nature; Elementalist by choice! Very skilled in the wielding of an axe and born upon the hellfire fury of rage and fire within himself due to all he has witnessed throughout his life, especially of the Charr and their murderous tendencies. Fire is his element of choice.

Bio (this is where the cut and paste comes in and please add more):

Troublesome in my youth I always found myself in one ugly predicament or another. In those days I was a nomad and a brawler, street fighter if you will, more than the warrior I have become.

Life in the bario left me no other choice. Such a reputation had grown about me that I decided to start a school. That school started out in a run-down, abandoned farm near The Wilds, my home. Defense was always the first to come. Naturally and, by nature, instinctual it was the easier to understand and quicker to grasp. Offense, in its many forms, brought about much pride to my students. Any occasional, fierce animal that happened by, or thug looking for trouble, would come to understand that trudging down this lonely trail brought misery of a kind not to their liking.

That is how it all was in that beginning. A mere boy, Karthas Vulcan, grown to a man of unusual power. Strong as an ox, disciplined to no end, yet ever vigilant to learn and be taught. As my students grew they surpassed me and taught me much of what I now know. In the end of that time an unknown school shone brilliantly in its pride. Known for being faster than the wind itself. Rushing a defense before the opponent had even thought of his move, allowing for the counter strike given before a blow could even be dealt. That is how my name came to be. Defense before offense. Quicker than wind; rushing an unknown defense. Rushing Wind.

It was not long ago, years later, that I left my students, for a time, to concentrate on a power ebbing within me and waiting for me to find its source. It was then, just miles outside of beautiful Ascalon, wherein my school now was, that I saw its mighty slaughter.

I was dumbfounded and stricken. Yes, even mighty mountains quake. When I arrived upon the ruin I, the mighty mountain, trembled and collapsed. It was then that I felt nothing would revive me... if only I could figure out the terrible throbbing and swelling within my breast and deep inside my soul I hungered for a new beginning! My school was gone, my students had perished.

I entered a once beautiful city, now haunted mirthlessly by the innocent blood that was taken by the murderous Charr. I had no place to go so I aimlessly wandered using what materials I had previously gathered to prepare my revengeful onslaught. I happened too close to the district fire and there, to my astonishment, laid eyes upon my impending salvation. It was there that I saw an overly confident soldier dragging an unkempt, wild-eyed monk into the fray and nastily throwing him to the ground like a useless sack of potatoes.

Within me I felt a cleansing, a fire igniting. A whispering came to me. "You are not completely lost or forgotten. Talk to the wild-eyed one, My Ancient of ancients. The Oracle."

As he laid eyes upon me I was introduced first to Calith Yauder then, later still, to Malic Silvershard. We spoke for a time and became new found friends. He told me about my future and what I would become.

The instability crumbled away. The mountain returned. I learned of my god, Asharak. I was differnt than before though. No longer did pride overpower me but a humility overtook me. I learned of the inalterable powers I could wield. I became Asharak's warrior led to the hellfire that raged within me. A warrior bound to the elemental plane of fire. Malic took me under his wing.

This is my new beginning...

~Upon one of my travels and happening upon The Inn~ (within GWGuru's forums)

As the door to the Inn flew open, a bitter cold gust of wind followed [Rushing Wind] inside making the candles dance with glee. Large in stature and battle worn his eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness that filtered throughout the room. He hardly noticed a soul since there was an amazing collection of outsiders gathered within these walls this evening. What he did notice though was the queer look he found in many an eye gazing upon him. He knew it had nothing to do with his build, armor or anything else of the sort that attracted so many to stare. It was the fire raging within himself, the fire that was mirrored to the outside world by the flames dancing wildly within his eyes. They understood that this man wasn't just any warrior but an elementalist born to the flame. From looks alone they knew he desired any chance or given opportunity to put those inert desires and tested skills to use.

As the door closed behind [Rushing Wind], as if on cue, a shattering of glass erupted from the silent stillness. He turned in the direction of the noise and saw a peculiar old woman in black goggling at her sloshed ale on the floor. Odd as it may have been he thought he recognized her but, for the moment, couldn't make much sense of the sudden connection between her and the One that was there even when Time itself had not existed.

His attention was yet again drawn to the bar where a dwarvish-like bartender stood at the ready, mug in hand. He carefully made his way across the floor and past the shadowy phantoms of dancing lights that the candles were creating. He asked the stocky man for some mead. With mug in hand, he tapped the barrel and let loose what [Rushing] longed for.

Night was setting in fast. That thought flickered through [Rushing's] mind as he saw one tired, trail-worn traveler upright in his chair, chin on his chest, elbows on the table and hands supporting his head. It was interesting and really rather funny to watch a man snore so loudly and nearly crack his head on the table with every dreamy breath he took.

[Rushing Wind] quickly came to grips with himself just before he nearly found himself laughing out loud at the sleeping spectacle in front of him. He had come to the Inn with one thought tickling his mind. Companions and friends, of an interesting sort, to continue on with him in the morning to come. His desire was to leave a recently ruined Ascalon behind, journey through the Shiver Peaks and then on to the Gates of Kryta and find, what life there was to it still, the great city of Lions Arch.

He suddenly felt eyes boring into the back of his head. He turned and, from across the room, saw Bunny (as he would come to find out her name later) taking note of him. She was one of the few that he decided to consort with later. For the moment though he kindly thanked the bartender for the mead and found an empty chair at the bar to sit at and quietly drink to his brooding thoughts.

Then he noticed a lone warrior in the chair next to him and decided to find out more about this man. Unique too he found this man to his liking. During their conversation he came to find out what the man's name and business was. He was none other than the infamous warrior, Sausaletus.

~Thank goodness I had these pieces ready to go already. Gauwyn, please feel free to use Rushing at your discretion. He is a man worthy of honor but also one who holds many secrets unknown to any other.

Hi Gauwyn! Glad to see someone doing a story with this. Well I am not much of a writer, so I'll try to give you some info on my character and let you run with it.

Name: Tallanka "Deathtalker" Tibious
Profession: ranger/necromancer
Race: Human
Age: 23
Sex: male
Height: 6'0
build: lean but built
Story: Son of Beastmaster Tibious, a leader of the human race who, due to the press of the Charr, swayed away from his Ranger roots to dwell deep into the depths of the dark magic known as necromancy, with the hope of making himself more powerful than his evil opposition. Unfortunately, his father's obsession with power proved to be his downfall. That obsession took him down into the catacombs, where he attempted to raise the dead army that had died there so long ago. His overconfidence proved to be his death as the army he raised grew to powerful to control, leaving Tallanka all alone, to be the hero he was destined to be, all the while learning to control the dark magic of his father that so strongly flows through him.
Background: I think that maybe his mother should die at the hands of the charr, this is what causes his father to leave his peaceful life as a ranger and adopt the role of a necromancer. Now Tallanka is a ranger at heart, much like his mother and his father before her death, but he still has also left with the dark powers of his father, thus causing conflict. So i guess he uses necromancy for good as weird as that sounds.
my email is [email protected] so feel free to email me about it...like i said im not a storywriter and I don't know alot about the guild wars history, being how i started playing the game last week.
-oh and Tallanka's pet's name is Kicheta, which he rescued, as a teen, from a rogue charr that had captured it as a meal.

Still definitely looking for additional characters. They can be the one you use now, or one you've come up with as well (for example, a Dwarf character, or White Mantle... etc.).

I've gotten the basic outline for a plot down... now I'm going to start working on developing the characters with these bios. The first book should include up to taking back the breach (post-Searing with Rurik), and giving a little insight into the life before the Searing.

The second book with be about the push to the North, as well as leading up to the White Mantle "expedition".

The third will include the events following the White Mantle uprising, and lead to... well... you'll see.

Some cool threads in here. Always entertaining to read about character views and whatnot. =) Just started to play Shadowrun the night I created the character so I ended up actually making her paper and pencil. =)

I have to say, amusing and good times for a quiet blind girl in a city full of mutants and weird ass creatures.

Thanks... got it. I'm going to try and put everyone I can into the "spotlight"... but hopefully everyone knows that a few characters may be secondary ones.
